Esto se debe a que, cuando los niveles son altos, el LDL se acumula en las paredes internas de los vasos sangu\u00edneos, formando placas ateroscler\u00f3ticas. Con el tiempo, esta acumulaci\u00f3n puede estrechar los vasos sangu\u00edneos y aumentar el riesgo de infarto, accidente cerebrovascular u otras enfermedades cardiovasculares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las lipoprote\u00ednas de alta densidad (HDL) se conocen como \u00abcolesterol bueno\u00bb. Su funci\u00f3n es recoger el exceso de colesterol de los tejidos y vasos sangu\u00edneos y transportarlo de vuelta al h\u00edgado, donde se procesa y se excreta. La interpretaci\u00f3n de los resultados debe realizarse de forma individual, teniendo en cuenta la edad, la presencia de otras enfermedades y el riesgo general de eventos cardiovasculares. Estos cambios suelen producir resultados tangibles sin necesidad de medicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los cambios en la dieta incluyen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reducir las grasas saturadas y evitar las grasas trans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aumento de la ingesta de fibra soluble a trav\u00e9s de alimentos como la avena, legumbres, cereales integrales y semillas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Usar grasas vegetales con moderaci\u00f3n, por ejemplo, aceite de oliva, aguacates y frutos secos crudos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incorporando m\u00e1s frutas y verduras.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Limitar el consumo de carnes rojas, mantequilla y quesos grasos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>La actividad f\u00edsica regular tambi\u00e9n es fundamental. Se recomienda realizar al menos 30 minutos de ejercicio moderado al d\u00eda, cinco veces por semana.
